Oxfordshire player Stuart Dutton hit three maximums in a Greene King ODDA League match for the third time this season as he helped Rileys to a thumping 8-1 Premier Division victory at The Shears, Wantage.

It took his tally of 180s to 13 at the halfway stage of the campaign.

In Section 1, Prince of Wales entertained Peachcroft SC and took an early lead when Warren Bright beat Mark Breakspear.

But the visitors powered back as Paul Champ, Michael Wilkes, Paul Cross, Rob Cook and Les Radford (180) put them 5-1 clear, before the Prince took the pairs 2-1 for a final 6-3 scoreline.

Rose Hill Community Centre kept their unbeaten Section 2 record intact with a 5-4 victory at Cowley Workers Club.

Rose Hill looked to be heading for a big win when they raced into a 5-1 lead after the singles, but the Workers captured the pairs 3-0.

Blackbird Bar A hit top form when they visited Section 4 rivals Original Swan A.

Martin Berry, Leopold Harry, Adam Berry, Peter Tarry and Dave Swanton gave them a comfortable 5-0 lead, the Swan pulling one back when Lorne Grove beat Richard Marks.

Blackbird increased their advantage to 8-1 with a 3-0 pairs win.

Marston British Legion A got off to a fine start against visitors Cricketers Arms when Colin Webb, Kevin Ashmall and Rodney Beauchamp put them 3-0 ahead.

However, Cricketers rallied to level the score through Roger Whannel, Chris Myers and Bob Harwood, before the Legion took the pairs 2-1 for a narrow 5-4 verdict.

Section 5’s top-of-the-table clash brought together unbeaten Vikings A and Golden Ball.

Mark Massingham gave the visiting Golden Ball a 1-0 lead, before Sean Pollard made it 1-1.

Neil Scott and James Crawford put Golden Ball 3-1 in front, only for Vikings to level it up again thanks to Chris Pollard and Kevin Masters.

Golden Ball went on to inflict a first defeat on their hosts when 2-1 pairs win gave them a thrilling 5-4 victory.

In the ladies league, Section 1 side Florence Park B visited Premier outfit Butchers Arms and came away with a 6-3 triumph.
