Carterton's Shane Cooper will make his Middleton Cup debut as Oxfordshire bid to upset reigning champions Devon in the quarter-final at Barnwood BC, Gloucester, on Saturday.
He comes into the side in place of the unavailable Barry Lambourne, and will play at No 2 in Paul Sharman’s rink with Andy Martin moving up to No 3.
West Witney’s Kevin Alder is also called up, replacing the unavailable George Schwab on Mark Sykes’s rink.
A tactical change sees Jason King swapping to No 3 in place of the unavailable Craig Nicoll on Ian Snowdon’s rink.
Gary May is recalled at No 2 on Mark Charlett’s rink, and Mike Petersen replaces Rob Pink at lead for Baden Sparkes.
Team manager Steve Gilkes said: “There is no pressure from outside for us to win and we go to Barnwood as underdogs.”
