GREYHOUNDS: Stewards look into Bio show

THE Oxford stewards will hold an inquiry next month into the running of the Terry Kibble-trained Barrackheight Bio.

Bio won in 26.96 on June 6 at 6-1, an improvement of 0.67 seconds. Previously Rio had been backed down to 2-1 favourite in an A1 and finished unplaced.

JOHN Alcock, chairman of the Oxford Owners’ Association, is looking to arrange fundraising nights for the Oxford Retired Greyhound Trust.

Alcock and local organiser Jenny Hebborn do a tremendous amount of work for the trust, and while the Oxford branch is in a relatively good position, they would like to hear from any suitable person who could home a retired greyhound.
