Oxfordshire's dreams of Middleton Cup glory were shattered with a 131-99 defeat by Kent in the quarter-finals at Bromley.
Oxon lost on five of the six rinks, with only an 18-18 draw from Baden Sparkes’s side of Mike Petersen, George Moon and Robbie Clanfield against Mark Johnson preventing a whitewash.
In the only last-eight tie not to take place at a neutral venue, Oxon were unable to match the home side’s firepower.
Captain Greg Moon’s rink of John Philpott, Barry Lambourne and Richard Redford suffered the heaviest defeat with a 23-7 reverse against skip Paul Barnicott.
Ian Snowdon’s side of Keith Holloway, Ian Henwood and Shaun Claridge were pipped 24-22 by Gordon Charlton.
Mark Sykes’s four of AJ Docherty, Jason King and Mark Charlett also battled hard, but went down 20-18.
Alan Prew’s quartet of Nick Rae-Welsh, Paul Sharman and Stuart Richens fell to a 22-16 defeat against skip Andy Thomson.
And Oxfordshire’s misery was complete as Howard Watts’s four of Lee Young, Nathan Lewis and Craig Nicoll were beaten 24-18 by Duncan Hanmore.
Now Kent join holders Cornwall, Devon and Huntingdonshire in the semi-finals at Worthing on Saturday, August 28.
Kent 131, Oxfordshire 99 (Kent skips first): G Charlton 24, I Snowdon 22; M Johnson 18, B Sparkes 18; AE Thomson 22, A Prew 16; P Barnicott 23, G Moon 7; A Dunn 20, M Sykes 18; D Hanmore 24, H Watts 18.
