NEW Club closed the gap at the top of Division 1 of the Oxford & District League to three points after a 3-0 victory at Fieldside.

Paul Moss (+100) thumped Paul Robinson (-60) 200-87, Alan King saw off Norman Woodcock 200-169, and Dave White beat Mike Chapman 150-130.

Headington Con A posted a surprise 2-1 win over reigning league champions Riley A.

Tony Palmer thrashed Alan Copelin 150-72 to give Headington the lead.

Matthew Challen levelled, edging out Ghassam Al-Murani 200-187.

Headington captain John Williams then defeated Malcolm Bough 200-139 to complete victory.
