BRADLEY Smith was denied another shot at a MotoGP points finish as his race was cut short in Barcelona.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, who qualified 17th for the Catalunya GP, was taken out by Takaaki Nakagami at turn five.
Smith, from Forest Hill, had been hoping to build on successive top 15 finishes.
But he was just a passenger as LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Nakagami lost the front and wiped out the unsuspecting 27-year-old.
Ducati’s Jorge Lorenzo took victory for a second successive race, beating Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi.
