OXFORDSHIRE Under 16’s girls team have made history by winning the Southern Counties Championship for the first time.
And they did it in style, remaining undefeated in eight games, with five wins and three draws.
The championship was sealed with a tough 0-0 draw against Surrey and a 2-0 defeat of Bucks, with goals from Tenisha Aparo Iboch and Frankie Brown
What makes this feat even more remarkable is that in 2016, the same team finishedlast but one with no wins and two draws.
Last year, they improved with five victories and three losses. Now they are top of the pile.
The team are pictured celebrating their success with coach John Dykes.
