Will Jeffery scored 17 points during Horspath Hammers' defeat at Poole Comets
HORSPATH Hammers suffered their first defeat of the season when beaten 97-82 at Poole Comets in the South and South Wales Regional League.
The hosts started well with two 7-3 heat wins but, despite the difficult task of clawing back the poor start, the visitors never gave up.
Hammers’ Dave Liebermann battled on through a shoulder injury, while Zac Payne, Lukas Nowacki, Jake Neighbour and Will Jeffery all won races.
But they could not get the all important heat advantages and Poole comfortably held their lead.
