NEIL Craycraft was unstoppable as he won the Gentworks Oxford & District Snooker League’s Walt Bradbury Cup.
The Didcot cueman produced breaks of 40 and 34 as he defeated Lewis Calcutt 5-1 in a high-class final at Abingdon Conservative Club.
Calcutt’s top breaks of 45 and 31 came in frames that he lost.
In the semi-finals, Craycraft produced a run of 57 as defeated serial winner Karl Walker 4-1, while Calcutt won 4-1 against Mick Bennett, wrapping it up with a break of 57.
Craycraft’s success made up for his defeat in the final of the Cuestars Seniors Championship at Newbury.
He lost 3-2 to Bracknell’s Matt Ford.
The turning point came in the third frame, which Craycraft lost despite chalking up a break of 61.
Ford sealed victory with a 47 clearance in the decider.
In a quite amazing contest, Simon Aries pipped Paul Robinson by just a single point to win the Gentworks Oxford & District Billiards League’s Oxford Times Cup.
Aries triumphed 500-499 in an epic final at Littlemore RBL.
