ORACLE and Vikings A have
won through to the final of the Oxford & District League’s Gracie J’s League Cup after comfortable last-four victories
Vikings trounced Headington Conservative Club 6-0 thanks to singles wins from Alan Oliver, Allan Lacey, Ian Moss and
top-scorer Pete Ewins (8,330).
Oracle overcame Berinsfield Club 5-1 at the Gladiators
Club.
Pauline Withey, Ian Gordon (7,140) and Oxfordshire Open champion Mark Trafford, who scored 20,080 including a break of 19,440, were their singles winners.
Larry Richens saved a whitewash by beating Brian Rose 4,940-1,230.
In the plate competition at Oracle, Masons reached the final with a 6-0 win against Vikings B.
Mick Murphy, Dave Rose, Chris Bateman (6,130) and Alan Lowe (6,430) won their singles before taking both pairs.
In the final, they will play West Oxford Democrats Club, who beat Gladiators 6-0 at Headington Conservative Club.
