VIKINGS A won through to the semi-final of the Oxford & District League’s Gracie J’s Cup by winning on aggregate away at the Donnington
Club.
Ian Moss (7,350) put Vikings in front, before Ian Moquet (5,760) levelled.
Pete Ewins (4,740) and Allan Lacey (5,350) put Masons 3-1 ahead, after Lacey’s opponent, Dennis Atkins, lost a break of 5,000.
Donnington took both pairs to level at 3-3, but Vikings triumphed by 2,140 points on aggregate.
Masons Arms reached the Plate semi-finals by winning 4-2 away to Gladiators Club A.
Alan Lowe put Masons ahead before Dave Jarman equalised.
Wins by Dave Rose and Chris Bateman made it 3-1 to Masons, before the pairs were shared.
West Oxford Democrats Club A defeated their B side on aggregate, thanks to Billy Hill, who won both of his legs, scoring a total of 17,350 points.
