IT is all-change again at the top of the Oxford & District League Premier Division as new leaders Oracle damaged Vikings A’s title bid with a resounding 6-0 away win, writes PETE EWINS.

Brian Rose (6,020), Mark Trafford (13,540, break 1,610), Pauline Withey (5,580) and Ian Gordon (6,370) dominated the singles for Oracle.

They also won both pairs through Rose and Trafford (12,610) followed by Withey and Gordon (7,610).

Donnington Club slipped to second place after dropping two home points against Headington Con Club.

Keith Hollis and a surprise win by Dave Gordon over Dennis Atkins provided Headington’s singles points.

Ian Moquet was top scorer for the home side with 6,880.

Mick Stratford’s win over Alan Lowe helped Vikings B to a 3-3 home draw against Division 1 leaders Masons Arms.

Melvin Johnson also won for Vikings, while Mick Murphy and Dave Rose claimed Masons’ singles before the pairs were shared.

West Oxford Democrats Club beat Berinsfield 4-2.

Richard Garrett (5,970) put Demos in front before John Boal (6,360) levelled.

John Patey (4,110) and Terry Green (5,770) replied for Democrats before the pairs were then shared.

Gladiators A won 4-2 against their B side, Simon Lee recording his first win of the season for the losers.
