OXFORDSHIRE will be aiming to enhance their promotion bid when they entertain Gwent in Division 1 of the BDO Inter-Counties Championship.

Following their 21-15 victory over Surrey in their last outing, Oxon stand second in the table, but face stiff opposition from their fourth-placed visitors.

Oxon make several changes.

Carol Smith is promoted to the Ladies’ A team to play alongside Deta Hedman, who was a semi-finalist in last week’s BDO World Championship.

Kevin Lowe, Keith Bedding and Paddy Kearns are promoted to the Mens A side. Mark Burns and Shane Turner return to the B team, where Dan Smith, Steve Dennet, and Andrew Quinn will be making their competition debuts.

The games will be played at Bicester Ex-Services and Family Club, with Saturday’s games starting at midday and Sunday’s at 11am.
