BAR BILLIARDS: Berinsfield keep pressure on leaders
GEOFF Mace and John Boal won twice as second-placed Berinsfield kept the pressure on leaders Donnington Club with a 5-1 home win against West Oxford Democrats Club in the Oxford & District Summer League, writes PETE EWINS.
Mace, with scores of 6,970 and 5,680, helped the hosts to a 4-0 lead, with support from Phil McFarland and Boal.
John Patey (4,620) pulled a game back, only for Boal wrap up victory.
Vikings got their first win, beating Gladiators 4-2 after braces from John Joe Kelly and Sean Stratford.
Bob Pincombe and Dave Jarman replied for the losers.
