OXFORD’S Matt Chapman set one of the fastest laps of the weekend as he finished 14th at Brands Hatch.
Along with new teammate Chris Milford, the result was good enough for seventh in the Silver Cup class of the British GT4 Championship.
Chapman took over the wheel in 16th place after the Ginetta G55 GT4 was the first behind a mid-race safety car – which saw them fall virtually a lap behind – and had a steering issue.
He punched in some impressive lap times – the fifth quickest of the day– but could finish only 14th.
The final round takes place at Donington Park on September 23-24.
