NICO Hulkenberg secured the Enstone-based Renault Sport F1 team’s best position when coming sixth in the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.
Hulkenberg made a demon start moving from 13th to seventh place, before his pit crew were able to assist in him making a further position during the 66-lap race.
Teammate Jolyon Palmer endured a tough race to finish 15th.
Romain Grosjean came tenth in his Banbury-prepared Haas car, with teammate Kevin Magnussen taking 14th place.
It was another poor day for the Grove-based Williams team, with Felipe Massa finishing 13th and Lance Stroll 16th.
Lewis Hamilton won the race in his Mercedes.
