DAISY Illingworth, from Oxford Sailing Club, won a silver medal at the Eric Twiname Windsurfing Championships at Rutland Water.
Illingworth was one of three Oxford members, competing for the South and South West Zone team at the event that sees more than 300 sailors from Britain and Ireland battling it out for team and individual glory.
She came second second in the 4.5m fleet while clubmate Milly Ions was sixth.
The third Oxford member, Fletcher Sharp, faced tough opposition in a large 5.8 fleet and came 15th.
The trio helped their zone squad to second place overall, narrowly beaten by the Midlands Oxford SC are holding an open day at Farmoor as part of the RYA ‘Push The Boat Out’ initiative on Saturday, May 20 (10am-4pm).
