OXFORD teenager Matt Chapman faces his first two-hour race when he competes in the third round of the British GT Championship at Rockingham tomorrow.

The 17-year-old Autoaid/RCIB Insurance driver, who partners Sam Webster in the GT4 division, made a strong start with a best position of ninth on his category debut at Oulton Park over Easter Standing fifth in the Silver class standings, and just outside the top ten in the main GT4 points table, he gained experience in both wet and dry conditions during the two 60-minute contests in Cheshire.

Meanwhile, Chipping Norton’s Sean Walkinshaw is heading to the Far East to compete in the second race of his maiden season in the Super GT Championship, the Fuji 500km next Thursday.

The Autobacs Racing Team Aguri driver, who partners successful Japanese racer Shinichi Takagi in the GT300 class, gained a top-five result on his Super GT debut last time out at Okayama, also in Japan.
