KEVIN Wilkins kept his nerve as Oxfordshire stormed back to snatch a draw with West Midlands in Division 1 on the BDO Inter-Counties Championship.
With Oxon trailing 18-17 going into the nail-biting final leg at Willenhall, Wilkins fell 3-1 behind.
But he hit back to win the last three legs to secure the visitors an 18-18 draw against the second-placed side and keep Oxon’s outside promotion hopes alive.
Following draws for both their ladies’ teams, and an 8-4 defeat for the men’s B team, Oxon were 14-10 down going into the men’s A contest.
Pete Hall led the fightback with a 4-3 win.
George Grant, man-of-the-match Jon Jukes(27.88), Stephen Wright, Preben Krabben, Paul Warwick and Sean Holley all won their matches before Wilkins sealed the deal for the visitors.
