ALAN Hill will bid for success on home turf when Kingston Blount host their first meeting of the season tomorrow.
The Aston Rowant trainer, whose base is less than a mile and a half from the track, has an entry in every race and thinks Pride Of Parish is his best hope.
“I’d probably put him down as my nap,” Hill said. “He’s in tremendous form – (son) Joe schooled him last week and he was awesome.”
Victoria Pendleton may be in action aboard her Vesperal Dream, providing there is no further rain.
“Victoria is surfing in Costa Rica, but back on Friday,” Hill said. “The plan is for her to ride, but is ground-dependent.”
The meeting gets under way at 1pm at OX39 4SG. Entry is £10 per person, with under 18s free.
