CITY of Oxford’s 30-strong team finished third in the Junior Development Gala at Witney.

Oxford’s first win came in the boys’s ten-year freestyle relay from Ethan Bird, Kayden Silas, Arsham Abyaneh and Moses Baker.

There followed an impressive hat-trick for Zara Porter in the girls’ nine years 50m freestyle, 100m IM and 50m butterfly.

Emma Sherwood was victorious in the nine years 50m breaststroke, while there were also wins for Eleni Ioannou (9 years 50m backstroke) and Tilly Boyns (10 years 50m backstroke).

For the boys, there was an individual double for Bird in the ten years 100m IM and 50m backstroke.

Other successes came from Angelos Agko (9 years 50m freestyle), Kayden Sillah (10 years breaststroke) and William Healey (11 years freestyle).

The mixed aged 8-9 team of Zofia Conway, Ben Harkness, Evelyn O’Gorman and Edward Bewes took first place.
