EDDIE Pepperell’s place on the 2017 European PGA Tour was thrown into jeopardy as he lost his card following a poor end to the season.

The Abingdon golfer finished 114th in the final standings after missing the cut at the Portugal Masters – the final event of the season.

It meant the 25-year-old, who had finished inside the top 50 in each of the last two seasons, missed eight of his final nine cuts, forcing him to enter the final stage of Qualifying School for a place in next year’s competition.

North Leigh’s incredible run in the Emirates FA Cup came to a jarring halt as they were emphatically beaten 6-0 at Eastleigh.
