THAME C caused an upset when they beat Premier Division hosts Littlemore RBL C in the Oxford & District League’s Colin Cutler Memorial Trophy.
With a handicap of plus 20, the Division 2 side won 4-3 in a thrilling first-round tie.
Malcolm Bough, with a clearance of 44 in the first frame, beat Andrew Posey to put Littlemore 2-0 ahead.
Ross Tarbox levelled when defeating Peter Franklin Routh, before Littlemore’s Lewis Moss shared frames with Martin White. In the decider, Tarbox beat Bough 65-61.
Daniel Brooks won 68-62 in the deciding leg to give Eynsham A victory over Eynsham B, while Sid Ponting claimed a treble as Oxford Bowls Club B defeated Q Zone C.
