JACK Biggs continued his amazing scoring form with a brace as Oxford Hawks eased to a 4-1 success at Guildford in South League Premier Division 1.
Biggs’s double took his tally to 16 this season, making him the division’s leading scorer by a clear six goals.
Kyle Barnes and Ted Bennett also netted for Hawks, who consolidated their third place in the table.
Oxford gave leaders Maidenhead a run for their money before losing 2-1 in Regional Division 1.
In the first half, visitors Oxford failed to make possession count and Maidenhead converted a penalty corner to lead at half-time.
Arron Leadbeater scored with a low drive to equalise for Oxford after the break, but Maidenhead converted a late penalty corner to take all three points.
Sam Chilvers scored a hat-trick as Witney went two points clear at the top of Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 with a 3-0 victory at Newbury & Thatcham 2nd.
Thatcham started strongly but the visitors’ defence, well marshalled by Thomas Dobson, kept them at bay.
Chilvers, with a clinical strike from a short corner, put Witney ahead at the break.
After a 60-yard pass from his brother Tim, Chilvers made it 2-0 before completing his treble with a classy finish.
