GOLF: Eddie Pepperell stays in touch at Qualifying School
EDDIE Pepperell continued his steady progress in the PGA European Tour Qualifying School with a second successive 69 at Catalunya yesterday.
The Abingdon golfer, who just missed out on keeping his card this year, stands joint 36th on four under par after the second round at the Spanish resort.
The top 25 at the end of the six-round event will secure their Tour cards for the 2017 campaign.
Following his three-under-par first round at the Stadium Course on Saturday, which included an eagle and four birdies, Pepperell had to settle for a one-under 69 on the Tour Course, scoring three birdies and two bogeys.
