FOLLOWING their success in winning the Oxford Summer League, Oxford Drennan have now secured promotion to Division 1 of the Angling Trust Championship.
Drennan achieved this by coming third in the Division 2 match on the Frazely Canal in Birmingham.
Only one point separated the top three teams.
Sensas Black Country amassed 205 points, with Matrix Halifax pipping Drennan for second on weight after both had finished on 204.
Andy Benwell won the 11th Carp League at Jenny’s Pool, Tunnel Barn Farm.
Benwell triumphed with a haul of 160lb 8oz 0drms to finish well clear of fellow Kidlington residents Gerry Foley (107.6.0) and Craig Partridge (95.14.0), who were second and third respectively.
Pete Oliver won Yarnton & District’s Roach Cup and the last round of the Summer League at Yarnton Meadow.
Fishing hemp and caster at 13 metres, Oliver weighed in four pounds of roach and added two good bream for a total of 13.15.0. Nick Collier was second with 6.13.0 and Jamie Godfrey (3.1.0) third.
