TWO Oxfordshire sportsman have won gold at the Paralympics in Rio.
Jozef Metelka, who lives in Abingdon, won the C4 four-kilometre individual pursuit for his home country Slovakia.
The former Oxford Brookes student is a professional ski instructor and elite cyclist, who lost his lower left leg after a motorbike crash in March 2009.
Meanwhile, cox Oliver James, from Henley, helped Great Britain’s mixed coxed fours win to victory
Cox Oliver said: “I’m very proud of this crew.
“We planned for it and got the result we needed – the perfect execution of a race”.
