The Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League singles champion beat Tony Webster from Hampshire in the quarter-final, before disposing of Bob Hall, from Sussex, in the last four.
In the final, Sussex’s Nigel Senior ran out the clock with 20,050.
But Trafford replied with 5,500, and then regained the break to hit a winning score of 15,500 to take over at the top of the rankings.
