KEVIN Wilkins claimed two maximums as Challow RBL saw off a challenge from hosts Bullnose Morris in the Greene King ODDA Men’s Seven-a-side competition.
The Section 3 hosts came close to shocking their top-flight opponents when Brian Clarke beat Preben Krabben to cut their lead to 3-2.
But Wilkins’s pair of 180s saw off Andy Douglas to progress, before Mark Wheeler won a consolation to make it 4-3.
Fellow Premier Section outfit Peachcroft had less trouble against Section 6’s Berkshire House.
Michael Wilkes, Stephen Wilkes and Rob Cook gave them a 3-0 lead.
Although the home side pulled one game back through Fergie Gilsenen, Jason Turner sealed the all-important fourth win for Peachcroft.
Democrats Club, Cowley Workers Club, Prince of Wales, George Bar A and Corner House B also made it through to the next round.
