RISING star Reece Chamdal returned home from Austria with a third-place trophy.

Chamdal, from Oxford, was competing for England Youth, with Sam Chesterman, of Cambridge, in the Cadet Teams tournament at the Linz Tips Arena.

Thirty-two teams took part in the four-day event, with Chamdal helping England finish behind Bavaria and Austria.

l HOLTON A completed their Oxford & District season with a 10-0 thrashing of Vikings A to finish top of Division 1 for the fourth time in as many years.

British Rail lost out on second place after being beaten 7-3 by Forum A, for whom Karl Bushell led the way with a maximum.

Bicester A took full advantage, clinching the runners-up spot as Dave Ralls’ maximum guided them to a comfortable 8-2 win over Rutherford.
