Abingdon's Jamie Cackett made a successful return to tournament play by picking up medals in his first two events.
The Larkmead School pupil won the Northampton Under 17 Bronze event, beating the top seed Brandon Adams (Herefordshire) 21-17 in the final.
He then picked up a bronze medal in the Somerset tournament after losing in the semi-final.
In the girls singles there was also a bronze medal for Oxfordshire’s Saffy Gujral Maisie Boyd (Chalgrove) winning singles and doubles bronze medals at the West Midlands Under 15 tournament losing a hard fought three set semi-final match. He doubles partner was Hannah Craig (Sutton Courtenay).
Maddy Cook (Eynsham) and Craig also winning a bronze medal in the Cheltenham Under 13 event, while Albie Marriott (Didcot) winning bronze in the boys doubles.
