Wantage's Vale Taekwon-Do School returned from the UK Championship in Guildford with 26 medals, making them the second best club in the country.

Instructor Carl Davis kicked off the success by winning gold in adult male 4th degree patterns and also took bronze in the black belt power class.

But most of their successes came in the junior divisions.

There were double junior golds for Ollie Grimes (green belt patterns & lightweight sparring), Jamie Harmon (blue belt middleweight sparring & patterns) and Aaron Poole (green belt heavyweight sparring & flying kicks).

Other junior gold medals came from Charlie Rhodes (blue belt lightweight sparring) and Hollie Charles (red belt patterns), while there were additional bronzes for Poole, Harmon and Charles Further golds came in the child division from Gabriella Rhodes and Lucas Smyth.

Rhodes also took silver in jumping kicks, while Smith won bronze in the flying kicks.

Others to win bronze were Aisha Macey, Bethany Woodsend, Ryan Woodsend, Tomas Marren, Sami Grimes and George Wells.
