Clark Montgomery takes a strong lead going into today’s cross-country of the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials with a superb dressage display yesterday.
The American, riding Loughlan Glen, recorded only 33.8 penalty points to overtake first-day leader and world champion Sandra Auffarth, of Germany, who scored 37.2 on Ispo.
Leading the British bid is third-placed Pippa Funnell, on Billy The Biz on 39.3.
The event concludes with the show jumping tomorrow.
