Oxford City Lions scored 20 seconds from the end to cap an amazing comeback 3-2 victory over London Baku United in their Super League opener at Berinsfield.
Lions, who trailed 2-0 with five minutes to go, thus ended Baku’s unbeaten two-year run in domestic competitions.
This seemed set to continue when Baku, who have competed in the last two UFA Futsal Cups, took a 2-0 lead in the first 11 minutes.
Lions captain Emilio Jiminez Torres finally got a goal back five minutes from time.
And a minute later, Lions’ Jese Rama Priego netted off the underside of the bar to level With just 20 seconds remaining, Rama Priego pounced on a loose ball in the box and from head height, chipped in a late winner to the delight of their fans.
