HEADINGTON A and Banbury Central A will meet in the Oxford & District Bowls League Cup final.

League champions and cup holders Headington ran out 81-50 winners against their B side in the semi-finals at South Oxford.

Jason King’s rink finished with an emphatic 18-shot win, but the B team did register a consolation, as Mark Kirby’s four managed a draw.

In the other last-four clash, one shot separated Banbury and Thame after nine ends, before the former raced to a 86-56 victory.

Nigel Galletly, Ian Whelpton and Keith Whelpton all finished with more than ten-shot margins.

The final will be held at Kidlington Bowls Club on September 3.
