Bethany Chapman had good reason to celebrate after striking gold at the British Judo Council National Championships – for the second year running – and at the same venue.
The nine-year-old, a member of Kidlington, who weighs in at 28kg, competed in the under 32kg open class at Kettering, where she showed impressive ability to beat her heavier rivals.
Chapman, who is a yellow belt, has been practising judo for three years.
