A 3-2 victory over Democrats Club secured the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford & District League’s top title.
Wins for Mark Trafford (11,010) and Brian Rose (8,100, break 5,200) put Kennington on the brink.
Although John Patey (6,120) pulled one back, another win for Rose ensured victory, before Billy Hill (8,230, break 5,500) took the final frame for Democrats.
Second-placed Vikings Club won 4-1 at Section 2 leaders Headington Conservative Club.
Allan Lacey, Alan Oliver, Mike Jones and Pete Ewins won.
