Steve Ward, a full-time fishing guide and licensed coach from Thame, caught this 16lb 1oz barbel on the Thames.
It was one of a brace, the other weighing 11.12.
Both were caught on a boilie to size 6 G-Force wide gape hook, on 15lb hooklink and 3oz Anka lead.
