Forum A broke the deadlock at the top of Division 1 in the Oxford & District League with a 7-3 victory at home to their only title rivals, Holton A.

Karl Bushell set up Forum’s victory with a maximum, while Yoshinori Kawamura played the supporting role after going down to Holton’s Andy Misseldine in the first singles.

Meanwhile, Forum B were taking no prisoners as they swept aside clubmates Forum C 8-2.

Chris Smith went close to securing a consolation point for the losers when he just lost 19-17 in the deciding set to Jeremy Flint.

In Division 2, Vikings A had a big 8-2 victory over Begbroke A, with maximums for Julian Lawton Smith and Markus Wagner.

Bicester C emerged as Division 3 leaders with two wins in a week.

They beat Holton B 10-0 and then saw off Vikings D 9-1 thanks to Shunko Cook and Mike Jobling, both of whom won six matches out of six over the two evenings.
