Didcot Barramundi won promotion to the National Arena League South Division 1 (West) after a thrilling finale in Southampton.

Maddie Wright knocked an astonishing six seconds off her previous personal best in the girls under 13 100m breaststroke, while Ben Newell beat the club record in the boys 10-11 years 50m backstroke by half-a-second.

They had seven second places.

Meanwhile, Witney won the final round of the National Arena League Division 2 at the town’s Windrush Leisure Centre by ten points.

Georgia Duff, 12, led the way, winning the ladies open 200m individual medley and the 100m butterfly in the 13 & under class.

Duff finished runner-up in the 100m breaststroke, to take the swimmer of the match honour.

Sasha Paterson-Payne, 11, was runner-up for her wins in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly.

Billy Wotton, also won the 11 & under 50m breaststroke.

There were also victories for Luke Keenan, in the 13 & under 100m breaststroke and Ben Prosser in the 15 & under 100m backstroke.

The 13 & under girls and 15 & under boys won their respective relays.
