City of Oxford stormed into the National Arena League South Premier Division final by winning their second-round gala at Beckenham.

They secured their place with an impressive victory against top teams Woking and Beckenham.

Now they will go forward go on to swim at Crawley on Monday, December 8 in a bid to qualify for the National Cup Final for the first time by securing a top-two finish.

City recorded nine individual winners and five relay successes.

They included an Oxon and North Bucks junior county short-course record by the girls’ 15 and under 4x50m medley relay team of Rachel Allen, Emily Wood, Ellie Millington and Amy Coombs, who recorded 2.02.34.

NINE City of Oxford swimmers have been selected for national and regional talent squads. Emily Nisbet has been called up for the Scottish youth development squad, while Ewan Springett, Callum Smart and Natasha Fenton have been selected for phase one of the England Talent programme.

Delphine Little, Safiya Sillah, Jemima Gibbs, Megan Smit, Theo Cooke, Mimi Morley Iszatt and Erin Gilchrist are in the South East England Regional Talent programme.
