Horspath Hammers completed their Elite League season with a 96-81 win over Ipswich to finish the season with a perfect ten wins from ten.

Once again the home victory was down to the depth of the Hammers squad, with the local riders taking the limelight.

Horspath fell behind early on following an exclusion to Zac Payne in the opening heat.

But within two races they were back on level terms through a 7-2 success from Mark Boaler and Danny Harper.

A five-race winning burst either side of the interval put them 14 points clear and well in control of the meeting.

They rounded the season off as they started back in April at Sheffield with Lukasz Nowacki and Mark Boaler claiming a 7-3 success.

Hammers were presented with the Robyn Carter Memorial Trophy, which goes with title and commemorates the ex-Horspath manager who died two years ago, by his father Pete.

Horspath scorers: M Boaler 17+2, L Osborne 16+1, L Nowacki 15, D Harper 14+2, W Hutt 11+ 2, A Johnson 11+1, Z Payne 11+1, G Horsley 1
