Holton A clinched the Oxford & District League Division 1 title with an emphatic 8-2 victory over Forum A.
Although Forum only turned up with two players, Holton pushed on regardless.
Karl Bushell beat Mark Scott for Forum’s only singles success as Andy Misseldine and Pawel Jaskolski completed the rout with a maximum each for Holton.
Bicester A, who defeated British Rail 7-3, are the only team who can deny Forum A the runners-up spot.
Jeff Rigby led the way for Bicester with a maximum, while Ray Powell hit back for BR with wins over Tony Gorman and Jason Tustain.
Fraser Harris shone as Forum B avoided relegation with another impressive draw, this time against Bicester B.
Division 2 leaders Forum D may have left the door open to main rivals Vikings B.
Forum’s 6-4 defeat by Vikings cut their lead to three points with one game to go.
Gladiators B beat their main rivals Holton C 6-4 to clinch the Division 4 title.
