Didcot climbed five points clear of the relegation zone following a vital victory at struggling Hemel Hempstead in the Premier Division on Saturday.
Martin Brown was the hero, heading home to give the Railwaymen a crucial success.
Alex Stanley gave Didcot the lead when he headed in a corner from Ian Sampson after Andy Williams’s shot was deflected behind.
Didcot should have extended their lead, but Philip John was guilty of a glaring miss.
The match was held-up for 15 minutes after ref Kyle Kirkbride limped off to be replaced by assistant Reuben Simon.
When the game restarted, Michael Bartley fluffed a shot and skied the rebound over.
And Didcot were made to pay when Tommy Black fired home a stunning 25-yard free kick.
The same player almost repeated the trick six minutes after the break, but his effort hit the bar and bounced clear.
But Brown headed home to seal a big three points.
