OXFORD collected the Oxfordshire Inter-League Shield with a comfortable victory over Wychwood in the final at Banbury.

Kevin Baker and Chris Webb both hit sixes, when they set a massive 29 in the second leg of Oxford’s 2-0 triumph.

The champions were given tougher matches on the way to the final.

They had to come from behind to beat Kidlington 2-1 in their opening match, before edging through their semi-final against Bicester.

After the teams shared the first two legs with one-shot wins, Oxford took command of the decider with 27, Kevin Giles clanging off a six.

Wychwood reached the final by beating Chipping Norton.
