ABINGDON Town moved to the top of the Under 12 Winter/Spring A League after beating Faringdon Town 2-0 at Oxford City, writes PAUL LYON.

The Oxford Mail Youth League match was played on the artificial surface at Court Place Farm due to Abingdon’s pitch being under water.

Joe Smart opened the scoring with a superb free-kick, before Joshua Allen-Burton fired home the second to secure victory.

Teddy Bone hit the only goal of the game as Oxfordshire Football Development beat Crowmarsh Youth Tigers 1-0.

Quarry Rovers Thunder moved a step closer to promotion in the Winter/Spring B League as they beat Florence Park 3-1.

Kenzie Taylor bagged a brace, with Luke Trinder also on target, while Benjamin Goude responded with a consolation goal for Florence Park.

Max Collins (2) and Jude Nixon fired Crowmarsh Youth Pumas to a 3-2 victory over St Edmunds in the D League.

Max Carlisle and Edoardo Gallotta replied.

In the E League, Cody Wright’s four-timer could not bring victory as Radley Youth drew 4-4 with Cumnor Minors.

Joseph Broadley’s hat-trick and a Jack Crawford effort saw Cumnor earn a share of the spoils.

Goals from James Leach and Max Harrison earned second-placed Wantage Town a 2-0 win at Marston Saints Warriors in the Under 13 Winter/Spring B League.

Louie Gillett, Cameron Curry and Kayden Gardener-Solomon found the net as Barton United beat Crowmarsh Youth Saints 3-2 in the C League.

Thomas Harris and Luca Placentino replied for Saints.

In the D League, Cholsey Bluebirds recorded a 5-0 away win against Summertown Neutron Stars.

Oliver Gouldby (2), Albert Davies, Jake Beardmore-Gray and Jake Baxter were on target.

Seb Gill’s goal proved the difference as Quarry Rovers Nomads earned a 1-0 victory against Abingdon United in the Under 14 A League.

Ebo Aneju hit a hat-trick to help Kennington Athletic beat Summertown Stars Wanderers 8-0.

Chima Iwuchukwa (2), Tyler Cole, Joshua Youngman and Joshua Lewington were also on the scoresheet.

Abingdon Youth Yellows came out on top 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller with Kidlington Youth in the D League.

Joshua Bushnell and Charlie Neal-Hill both hit doubles, with Harvi Chase also finding the back of the net.

Kidlington replied through Josh Williams, Lorcan Johnston-Smyth and Narinder Shergill.

Harry Williams and Mahri Clarke hit doubles to help fire Oxford Football Development into the final of the Under 16 KO Cup with an 8-3 win over Cholsey Bluebirds.

Devantae Patterson, Adel Doci, Bailey Bone and Egis Mata were also on target for the victors.

Kane Durrant, Lewis Penny and Josh Lyons scored for Cholsey.

In the A League, North Leigh United hit 16 unanswered goals to beat Kidlington.

Alex Wybrants and Mitchell Constable scored hat-tricks, with Jaden Mole, Gino Castagna and Sam Bryant netting twice.

Louis Vaughan, Lawson Eadle, Adam Hitchman and Ross McKenzie also scored.

In the Under 15 B League, Highfield Juniors and Faringdon Town played out a 4-4 draw.

Joshua Walker netted a hat-trick for Highfield, with Marcus Simpson also on target .

Faringdon’s goals came via doubles from Kai Richardson and Matthew Slevin.

Jesse Harboni’s treble saw Marston Saints beat Botley 8-1 in the C League.

Mackensie Carlisle, Matthew Haudecoeur-Wilks, Jack Finch and Ben Pagano also netted.

Jonah Hulse replied for Botley.

In the D League, Jordan Hart’s brace earned South Park Rangers a 2-1 win over Cold Ash, for whom Oliver Llewellyn scored.
