OXFORD City boss Mark Jones is hoping his side can land a plum draw in the Emirates FA Cup tonight.

City will join Oxford United in the hat for the first round following their 1-0 win over fellow Vanarama National League South club Bognor Regis Town on Saturday.

It is the first time in six years that City have reached the main draw, and Jones has his fingers crossed they are given high-profile opponents.

“Having worked hard to get to this stage we would like a League One club,” he said.

“You’ve obviously got your big clubs like Charlton, Blackburn and Portsmouth, so we would hope for a big tie away from home, but you can’t control the draw.

“Its great that we’re in the hat and what we have to do now is try and build on this.

“We’ve got an important game next weekend at Hemel Hempstead, who are a good side, and we’ve got to try and get some points in the league.”

Tonight’s draw, which will be shown on BBC2 from 7pm, sees City as ball No 68 and United No 33.
