OXFORDSHIRE will be without captain Jonny Cater as they bid to end their Unicorns Counties Championship campaign with a positive result at Cheshire.
Sitting fifth in the Western Division, they travel to Chester Boughton Hall eyeing a positive finish to what has been a campaign full of learning curves.
A youthful Oxfordshire have picked up two victories from their five games and face a side in Cheshire, who sit second, but cannot catch leaders Berkshire.
Captain Cater misses the game, which starts on Sunday, due to the impending birth of his second child, so Banbury’s Lloyd Sabin takes over the reins, while Thame Town’s Callum Russell will keep wicket.
Oxfordshire make a couple of other changes for the 300-mile round trip.
Great & Little Tew batsman Harry Smith and Abingdon Vale seamer Joe Butcher return.
They replace Sussex’s Delray Rawlins and Banbury’s Brad Taylor (work commitments).
