BETHANY Chapman and Hermione Prescott struck a hat-trick each as Headington won 8-0 at Summertown Stars Red in the Under 12 League Cup.

Scoring from the first attack of the game, the visitors soon seized control of the Oxford Mail Girls League clash.

Chapman and Prescott starred, but there was also a goal each for Laura Prior and Mollie Godfrey as Headington booked their spot in the semi-finals.

They will face Oxford City, who were 5-1 winners at home to Hook Norton.

Estell Nwadike netted a stunning opener and Kayleigh Tubb doubled City’s advantage before the break.

Summer Major added a third early in the second half, before Tubb struck again late on and Esme Roberts completed the scoring for the hosts.

There was one final sting in the tale as Hooky denied their hosts a clean sheet, but it was too late to be more than a mere consolation.

Wantage Town needed a last-minute winner to scrape past hosts Hinksey Park Lionesses 2-1 after extra time.

Isabella Winnifrith put the home side in front, but after Sophie Kirkman levelled to take the tie into extra-time, Maddie Buchanan bagged the winner with 30 seconds to play.

Second-half goals from Rebecca Agg, Millie Jones and Ellie Owen gave Didcot Casuals a 3-0 win at Quarry Rovers in the quarter-finals of the Under 12 League Cup Plate.

Georgia Brown hit a hat-trick to give Crowmarsh a 3-0 home win over Barton United in the Under 15 League.

The hosts had to weather the storm to keep out Barton in the first half, with the visitors missing two open goals.

But England Schools international Brown proved the difference, breaking the deadlock with a wonder strike before claiming two more.

Jevon Brown, Olivia Day and Shannon Saidler bagged a brace each as Under 14 Red League leaders Abingdon Youth beat Stonesfield Strikers 9-0.

Ruby Colleton, Ella Shead and Farah Khan also scored for Abingdon.

Hook Norton won 3-1 at home to Kidlington in the Blue League, though they had to wait until after half-time to break the deadlock.

Anna Cook opened the scoring and Carley Hands made it 2-0.

The visitors pulled one back with five minutes to go, but any hopes of a comeback were quashed when Gaby Heath bagged Hooky’s third.

Summertown Stars are through to the semi-finals of the League Cup following their 5-0 win at Launton.

Sofia Mori netted twice for Stars, while Olivia Thacker, Alissa Sattentau and Heather Ross were also on target.
