AFTER a run of three defeats, Cropredy got back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Mansfield Road.

Joe Fox scored in each half, while Cropedy’s other goals came from Ismael Liverpool and Aaron Dinneen. David Sailba scored for Mansfield.

Freeland came from behind to win 5-1 at Marston Saints in the quarter-finals of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup.

The hosts took the lead through Andy McMahon, but two strikes from Luke Coles, one from Danny Taylor and an own goal put Freeland 4-1 up at half-time. Taylor added a fifth in the second half.

Carterton Town A beat Yarnton 5-2 after extra time.

Yarnton fought back from 2-0 to make it 2-2, but Carterton shone in the extra 30 minutes.

Olly Bush netted a hat-trick. Carterton’s other scorers were Mike Bolt and Tommy Burns.

  • LUSITANOS Oxford won 4-0 away to Chinnor A to go clear at the top of the Oxford City FA.

All their goals were in the first half from Joao Almeida (2), Diogo Campos and Marcelo Guilherme.

Summertown won 2-1 away to Chequers with a goal in each half from Kiran Patel and Max Rothwell to move into the title race.

Chequers’ reply came from a penalty, the only time Summertown’s in-form keeper Conell Twomey was beaten.

Union Street won 5-1 away to Thame United Churches.

Headers from James Cunning and Arthur Muir, a clinical strike from Dan Kirk plus two own goals provided Street’s tally.

Churches replied through James Fern’s looping header.

East Oxford won 4-0 at Oxford Brookes University, with goals from Andy Irvine (2), Sonio Gomes and Tom Smyth.
